Web or sex? I think I would go for Web too (lol)

I come across a very funny headline in Yahoo and I can't ignore blogging about it. The article states a result of a survey on whether women would go for web or sex. The funny thing is, nearly one out of two women would rather give up sex for two weeks than go without the Internet, according to a survey released Monday.

The rest of the results are as follow:

  • Far fewer men would choose to go without sex, according to the survey of 2,119 adults carried out by the online research firm Harris Interactive and sponsored by Intel Corp., the world's biggest computer chip maker.

  • Forty-six percent of the women polled said they would rather go without sex for two weeks than give up access to the Internet for the same period of time, according to the survey, "Internet Reliance in Today's Economy."
  • Only 30 percent of men said they would rather forgo intimate relations than cyber ones.
  • Ninety-five percent of those surveyed said it is "very important, important or somewhat important" to be able to access the Internet.
  • Sixty-five percent of those surveyed rated Internet access above other discretionary spending items such as cable television subscriptions (39 percent), dining out (20 percent), shopping for clothes (18 percent) or a health club membership (10 percent).
  • Sixty-one percent of the women surveyed said they would rather give up watching television for two weeks than give up access to the Internet for one week.

Harris Interactive and Intel said the survey was conducted November 18-20. They did not provide a margin of error for the results.

I think I would also go for web, why? secret!

We Are Sisters, We Are Friends

It is fun to have sisters. In my case, I have four loving sissies; Ate Emily, Ate Minyang, Ate Dess and Neneng (the youngest). The two oldest; Ate Ems and Ate Minyang were a generation ahead of Ate dess and I, they were already adults when we were born, they took care of me. I still remember they make fun of us, one day they will curl my hair, the other day they will put bright red nail polish on my nails. I was a flower girl when Ate Em was married in 1980. I was just three years old.

When Ate Minyang got married to Kuya Herbert (an austrian) she decided to migrate in Austria, she promised to buy me a walking doll. Unfortunately she returned to the Philippines after 8 years bringing my walking doll but I was no longer playing with dolls, (chocolates will do, yum!).

Ate Dess and I grew up fighting a lot, why? she would get all the attention from Nanay (I am a father's pet). Everytime Nanay would go out shopping she always wanted to come along, I stayed in the house (murmuring). When she got married early I was happy (lol), It's now my turn to become Nanay's apple of the eyes (",). But that was just an immature blurt, nowadays we just laugh about how stupid I was, hahaha.

The youngest and the most "kulit" is Tesan, we call her Neneng or sometimes "Nganga".(meaning big mouth, lol) She cries a lot when she was a baby. I watched her grow into a pretty, charming and smart lady (ehem, where is my chocolate?). I must admit that sometimes I get irritated with her acting frantics but I really love this "kid".

I am very happy that I have four unique women who I can call sissies!

My Baby Wore his First Jeans

Mom and Tyler

My Younger Sis and Tyler

Mom, Earl and Tyler

Today is my kids' Year End Thanksgiving day in our Church. Most parents like me tend to buy their kids new clothes to wear for this special occasion. I bought them new pair of jeans and polo. I was originally intending to buy my baby a baby dress but my sister insisted that a pair of cloth same with his older brother is better, which I bought. He looked good on the polo, but the jeans is still too big that we have to fold almost half of the pant so he will not look shrunk. Funny!!!

The Very Painful Labor

Bonding Time with my Boys

Every time I watch my sons sleep I always thank God they are safe, healthy and content. Being a mom is the most different of all the once that I have experienced in my 30 years of existence in this world. The day I learned I am pregnant with my first son (who is now three and my second son is 4 months) and until this day; I know in my heart I cannot let anything bad happened to my kids. If only I can control their lives in my hands to ensure that they will stay safe all the time; I would do it. But that cant happen! It is part of a parent's responsibility to ensure that their kids grow as an independent, well mannered and matured human beings.

I had a difficult pregnancies with both of my sons. I had my lowest weight in my entire life when I was in my first trimester with my first son. I throw every food I eat, and I had difficulty sleeping. I was not sure then if I can keep him; I was malnourished. My OB-Gyne just insisted I eat every now and then on small amounts. I was also put on a special diet. It turned out I was overweight on my last trimester and I have to start trimming on carbo which I did with my utmost self control. In my second pregnancy, I had a gestational diabetes, my hands numb and I had difficulty breathing. The most unforgettable were the labor pains. The feelings were undescribable, I was ditched into hate and love. I hate that I have to undergo a very painful labor process and yet I know I love the feeling of bearing a child. My labor lasted 23 hours in my first son and 15 hours with my second (that is even with the help of the oxytocin injection).

The moment I held my baby in my arms I felt blissful and content, truly all my pains and hardships faded away. I was teary eyed, I am a certified mom! A proud mom I am.

My New Blogsite

In my desperation of the server failure I am experiencing with my current host for my site www.earnpinoy.com I have created a new blog here at blogger.com. I can't see my site since Sunday and their service is so poor that it is still not fixed till today ( it is the 4th day since their server was corrupted). I have been thinking what to do and this created an idea to me to try using blogger since it is for free.

I am now uploding my pics and at least it eases my pains of not being able to blog on my site. I just hope to remove my site from that free hosting site and find a better hosting partner. Good luck to me!
